About Our Program

Acentra Health partners with the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) to provide fee-for-service (FFS) prior authorization (PA) and utilization management (UM) services for the Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP). Acentra Health supports clinically appropriate healthcare utilization decisions using applicable clinical criteria, including InterQual® criteria when appropriate, along with State and Federal requirements and guidelines.

Acentra Health manages prior authorization and utilization management services across multiple service areas and provides support for the Restricted Card Program (RCP) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) program. Providers can use this site to access information and resources related to prior authorization requirements, the Atrezzo Provider Portal, provider education and other Acentra Health services supporting Indiana Medicaid FFS providers.

Certain services continue to be administered by other IHCP partners. Nonemergency medical transportation is managed by Verida, claims processing is managed by Gainwell Technologies, and FFS pharmacy benefit authorizations are managed by OptumRx.
