***Provider Benefit Training***

Acentra Health offers prior authorization process training for Hospice providers and Imaging/Lab providers. Acentra Health is offering December 2025 training sessions, covering the prior authorization (PA) process for Hospice and Imaging/Lab providers that submit PA requests for the fee-for-service (FFS) population.
Providers are encouraged to email specific issues they want to be addressed to Acentra Health at INPriorAuthIssues@acentra.com.
Acentra Health will also be sending an email blast with the same information.

***Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Interoperability and Prior Authorization Rule (CMS-0057-F)***

Per Bulletin BT2025165 Effective Jan. 1, 2026, IHCP providers will have updated guidelines regarding PA decisions and additional information submissions. This applies to PA requests for items and services, excluding drugs, as defined in Code of Federal Regulations 42 CFR 421.60(b)(6). Pharmacy PA request decisions are still made within 24 hours of request, in accordance with 42 CFR 1396r-8(c)(5)(A).

Acentra Health will continue to be required to make a PA decision within 7 calendar days of the initial standard PA request. The time may be extended up to an additional 7 calendar days (previously 30 calendar days) if additional information is needed.

For an urgent/expedited PA request, a decision will be required within 72 hours.

No pend (extension) time frame will be allowed for urgent/expedited FFS PA requests.

Provider Portal Registration Guide

Atrezzo Provider Portal Registration and Help Desk

Atrezzo is a configurable, flexible, fully integrated, web-based solution that provides the capability to manage the healthcare experience of individuals across a continuum of health care services including Utilization Review, Care Management, and Assessments.  Atrezzo’s Provider Portal is an important component of our system and is proven to alleviate the burdensome authorization request processes often required by other systems. Our portal functionality allows providers to submit requests through direct data entry into the portal and upload documents 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, with Atrezzo immediately validating acceptance of the submission and notifying the provider. Atrezzo’s rules engine and embedded workflows guide the provider through the submission.
